Docking and disembarkation ports for our mini-cruises and day trips

Porto Santo Stefano

Porto Santo Stefano, located on the west side of Monte Argentario, is the location from which you can embark to participate in one of the daily activities (mini-cruises as well as excursions) organized by our company, "Le Crociere del Sole". This coastal location is known for its strategic location which makes it possible to reach, in about 1 hour by boat, Giglio Island and Giannutri, two of the main islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.

From Porto Santo Stefano leaves our exclusive Giglio - Giannutri minicruise, which will allow you to discover, within a single day, the most beautiful attractions of these two islands.

Any guided excursions are not included in the price of the mini-cruise and can be booked directly on board our Motorship Revenge.

Also departing from Porto Santo Stefano are two exclusive daily excursions, which we invite you to consider for a different experience.

Discovering Giannutri: hidden treasures

Discover the island of Giannutri between history and nature trekking together with the Tuscan Archipelago National Park Guides. The southernmost island of the Tuscan Archipelago, it is a true paradise for nature and sea enthusiasts.

Snorkeling at Giglio Island

Our snorkeling day trip to Giglio is designed for lovers of the sea and hidden coves. Tour of the island by dinghy with snorkeling instructor. Max 12 participants.

Porto Santo Stefano is easily reached by car or bus from Orbetello or Grosseto or by taking advantage of our shuttle service. Once you arrive at your destination, you can conveniently park your vehicle (there are a number of guarded paid parking lots, whose daily rates vary between 8 and 10 euros, here are the main ones we recommend) and reach the point of embarkation

Giglio Porto

Giglio Porto is the arrival point for all ferries and ships from Porto Santo Stefano. Giglio Porto also represents The starting point for two other day trips made by Le Crociere del Sole company, which will allow you to discover Giannutri Island from two different perspectives.

Visit to the Roman Villa of Giannutri

For history buffs, a visit to Giannutri's Roman Villa, located near Cala Maestra, offers a glimpse into the island's Roman past. This luxurious villa, was built overlooking the sea by the Domizi Enobarbi family is today only visitable with the Tuscan Archipelago National Park Guides.

Snorkeling in Giannutri

Giannutri Island stands as one of the most fascinating destinations in the Tuscan Archipelago. Snorkeling excursion accompanied by an experienced Guide.

These are interesting opportunities, designed for those who are already on vacation at Giglio Island and wish to have a different daily experience, always carried out with the support of expert guides.

Cala Maestra and Cala Spalmatoio: docking points for our day trips to Giannutri

It is possible to disembark on Giannutri Island using two docking points: Cala Maestra and Cala Spalmatoio.

Cala Maestra, located in the northwestern part of the island, is known for the remains of the ancient Roman port. This area, once part of a large complex built by the noble Roman Domizi/Enobarbi family, also includes the remains of their villa.

The presence of these historic structures allows visitors to have a unique window into the island's past, adding a cultural element to your stay on the Tuscan Archipelago. On the other side of Giannutri Island is Cala Spalmatoio. This cove is especially popular for its peaceful environment and crystal clear waters, ideal for activities such as swimming.

Both creeks are the only areas on the island with free access for swimming, as Giannutri is subject to strict regulations for the preservation of its unique ecosystem. We at "Le Crociere del Sole" company choose the most suitable berth each morning based on sea conditions, thus ensuring the best possible experience for its guests.
